Giving your customers the ability to process their transactions in different currencies can really benefit your business.
Alongside processing credit and debit card transactions in multiple currencies you are also do this with your PayPal transactions.
You will then be able to offer your customer a full range of payment options, including PayPal when they want to buy from you in a different currency.
Before you can offer PayPal in multiple currencies you first must have an ecommerce merchant number in the currency you would like to add.
For example, if you would like to offer EURO’s to your customers you will first need to obtain an ecommerce EURO merchant number to process standard credit and debit cards.
You can then offer EURO’s to your customers wanting to pay via PayPal.
For each additional currency you would like to offer using PayPal you must first obtain the merchant number in that currency for credit and debit cards.
Once you have your merchant number, you will need to complete a merchant number addition form – that you can download here – and send this into firstname.lastname@example.org
Our support team will then add your merchant number with your new currency to your Opayo account.
Now that the additional currency merchant number has been added to your account you are able to update your PayPal account to include the new currency.
To do this you will first need to log into your MySagePay admin panel. You can do this by going to https://live.sagepay.com/mysagepay
Once logged into the account go to Settings followed by Pay Methods.
Click “Change my PayPal account” from the bottom right hand corner of the page to load the PayPal account details screen.
You will then need to select “Remove PayPal” to de-activate PayPal on your Opayo account.
Once this has been done you will simply need to re-add your PayPal account details to update your account.
This will then add the additional currencies to your account and customers will be able to pay using PayPal.
